Dal 1964, Laterlite è la prima azienda produttrice di argilla espansa in Italia, con una vasta gamma di applicazioni che hanno diffuso in Italia la cultura dell’isolamento energetico e della ristrutturazione sostenibile.
Founded in 1964, Laterlite was the first Italian company to produce expanded clay aggregate with a vast range of applications, promoting a culture of thermal insulation and sustainable restoration throughout Italy.

Nel 1980 Gabriele Basilico fotografò le strutture dello stabilimento Laterlite di Rubbiano di Solignano. A distanza di quasi quarant’anni, nello stesso luogo, Luca Santiago Mora ha firmato il progetto “Windows”, fotografando la natura che circonda l’azienda nel corso delle quattro stagioni e portandola negli ambienti di lavoro, innescando una relazione tra interno ed esterno. Ora, grazie alla mostra “Luce Naturale”, curata da Daniele De Luigi, i due lavori fotografici di Basilico e Mora dialogano in un percorso che si snoda negli spazi di Laterlite, permettendo di scoprire le immagini insieme alla realtà in cui sono state realizzate.
In 1980 Gabriele Basilico photographed the Laterlite plant in Rubbiano di Solignano. Nearly forty years later, in the same location, Luca Santiago Mora carried out the “Windows” project, photographing the nature that surrounds the company during all four seasons and bringing it into the workplace, thus sparking a relationship between interior and exterior spaces. Now, thanks to the “Natural Light” exhibition, curated by Daniele De Luigi, the two photography projects by Basilico and Mora are entwined in an itinerary that articulates itself through Laterlite’s spaces, allowing us to discover these images as well as the locations that inspired them.
